[International Wedding In Korea] The love story of an American soldier and his Korean fiancée

This lovely American-Korean couple wanted a small wedding but had difficulties organizing it. They made it with WEDIT, read their story !

Part 1 Preparation

Brodey, an American soldier in South Korea fell in love at first sight with the pretty Korean Nari and wanted to make a small wedding before returning to the United States. As he was struggling with the place, form and language, they were looking for some help and fortunately could start preparing the wedding with WEDIT !

Brodey and Nary with Wedit Team
In the Korean wedding market, where you have to spend excessively unnecessary expense, our international couple have been wondering how to get a small wedding at a reasonable cost and how to get pre-wedding pictures with the help of friends.
The venue they choose, the Latin Club River, is located in Mapo and can receive until 60 people. Moreover, the place offers a magnificent view on the Han river and Yeouido at a small price, for those who would like to have a small wedding!

Part 2 The Ceremony

In Korea, a ceremony without an official is popular but this is a concept which is difficult to understand from a western point of view. This is the reason why WEDIT and our Korean-American couple worked together to narrow this gap between the Korean and Western culture.
Wedding rehearsal before the ceremony starts
During the ceremony, most of the guests were Korean so the bride read her vows in Korean and the groom read it in English, translated by a WEDIT interpreter.
(WEDIT offers you interpretation in English and French!)
To celebrate this wedding, the bride little sister read a beautiful and touching letter expressing her regrets which brought tears to the guests and the bride eyes.

As the meal was served and the night was falling, the guests could appreciate a little movie about the couple story.
It was difficult for the newly married couple to give enough time to each guests as they had to move to another place to perfect their wedding but they were able to relay their thankful feelings to their guests.
The bride and groom could express their appreciation and greet each person who came for them and we could feel the atmosphere of a small warm wedding.
Even if there was a lot of twists and turns, our bride Nari and our groom Brodie still have a lot of stories to tell and to make with each other and WEDIT wish them all the happiness and joy they deserve in the United States or in Korea.

If you check WEDIT homepage, you will find all you need such as venues, pictures, dress, makeup, music, band, decoration, etc.

Introducing Our New Director from France, Melina

Greeting a New Director from France!

In the meantime, many international couples have come to visit us. We've seen a lot of international couples having trouble with preparing a wedding in Korea because of different market system and cultural background.

So, now we introduce our new director, Melina, who will be in charge of helping foreigners who want to have a wedding in Korea. We also expects to extend our point of view on the international wedding culture so that we could help more people make their happiest once-in-a-lifetime moment in Korea.

Now we introduce Melina, a new motivation to WEDIT.

Hello Korea, hello Wedit

I am Melina, I've just arrived in Korea from France and I am integrating Wedit in the wedding directing team.

I've been attending weddings in France as well as in Korea (more in Korea than in France actually) and, as a foreigner, I can say that weddings in Korea are very particular. All those very fancy wedding halls organizing weddings with a factory speed surprised me more than I thought.

Living now in this country, I asked myself, what if I got to marry here ? How would I like my wedding to be ? While talking with other French friends of mine living in Korea, we couldn't deny that our French culture was taking the upper hand and that Korea could offer so much different opportunities than those wedding halls. This is how I got to know about small weddings and Wedit.

But why would I work in that company ? I've been living in Korea for 3 years in total and I know how personal, love and daily life can be difficult as a foreigner, even while knowing the Korean language and culture. This is the reason why, with Wedit goal to change the market and the culture of Korean weddings, I have been attracted right away with the idea of helping foreigners mixing their culture with their Korean loved ones culture for what we call the best day of one's life.

As a new Wedit team member, I am excited to hear about your life journey and help you make your wedding as perfect as it should be and I am looking forward meeting you very soon !

Thanks a lot for reading

Friends from Germany, France, Shanghai and Korea came to celebrate their big day.

Now the after party begins!

Nils and Haeyoung had chosen the rooftop venue, the Ibis Styles Ambassador hotel in Myeongdong which was selected as must-visit  rooftop bar in Seoul, for their foreign friends to see the whole landscape of Seoul as well as the city's night view.

Wines, Champagnes, spirits and cocktails were prepared for the crazy booze-up!

Yes, of course the DJ was invited to celebrate their party. Please be informed that inviting DJ at normal Korean wedding isn't an easy thing, but we, Wedit can bring DJs to your wedding ;)

The groom's mother who had a long trip from Germany to Korea, prepared a long heart touching letters.
